Indian superstar Amitabh Bachchan — who is not just a Bollywood icon but also an avid blogger — has now launched a new voice blog called Bachchan Bol where he plans to regular record the latest happenings in his life using his own voice.
Fans of Amitabh Bachchan can dial (022) 505678910 from their mobile or landline phones to hear the actor speak or they can even record their own voice comments. Amitabh Bachchan told the BBC that he would record at least twice a week for his “vocal blog” and that he’ll continue to write his (massively popular) blog just as before.
Bachchan Bol is a premium mobile service so you’ll have to pay around Rs. 6 per minute. This may also mean that phone users outside India currently won’t have the facility to dial into Bachchan’s voice blog.
How Bachchan Bol Service Works
You can think of Bachchan Bol as a pre-recorded podcast. The only difference is that you need a computer with an Internet connection to download podcasts but in the case of Bachchan’s phone blog, all you need is a phone connection which most people in India already have.

I noticed an error while changing templates in blogger. I thought that I shall share my experience to you. When u change a template you will said that many widgets will be deleted and to confirm that. When you press confirm it may show an error page. If this error ouccurs just do one thing. Change your template to the default templates given by blogger. Then after that upload your new template. Its fixed.

NBC Shuts Down Send Me RSS Email Service

NBC Universal has shut down SendMeRSS, a popular RSS to Email service, that they acquired last year from Randy Morin.
While the reasons for discontinuing the service are unclear, the relationship between NBC and Randy did end on an acrimonious note with NBC threatening legal action against Randy "for exposing the fact that they are not supporting the SendMeRSS users anymore"
Send Me RSS, formerly known as R-Mail, got lot of traction at launch because the service was first of its kind though plenty of alternatives are now available.
If you are blog publisher and syndicating content via SendMeRSS, it’s probably time to move your email subscribers to FeedBurner email or FeedBlitz.

We people use the word blog, blogger or blogging in our daily life. But most of us dont know whats a blog. Even if u r an owner of a blog you dont know what a blog exactly means.
A blog (a contraction of the term "Web log") is a Web site, usually maintained by an individual , with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, Web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs. Most blogs are primarily textual, although some focus on art (artlog), photographs (photoblog), sketches (sketchblog), videos (vlog), music (MP3 blog), audio (podcasting), which are part of a wider network of social media. Micro-blogging is another type of blogging, one which consists of blogs with very short posts. As of December 2007, blog search engine Technorati was tracking more than 112 million blogs. With the advent of video blogging, the word blog has taken on an even looser meaning — that of any bit of media wherein the subject expresses his opinion or simply talks about something.

This form of social media lends to an online generation already too busy to keep in touch.[3] Corporate Blogs A blog can be private, as in most cases, or it can be for business purposes. Blogs, either used internally to enhance the communication and culture in a corporation or externally for marketing, branding or public relations purposes are called corporate blogs. Question Blogging is a type of blog that answers questions. Questions can be submitted in the form of a submittal form, or through email or other means such as telephone or VOIP. Qlogs can be used to display shownotes from podcasts or the means of conveying information through the internet. Many question logs use syndication such as RSS as a means of conveying answers to questions. By Media Type A blog comprising videos is called a vlog, one comprising links is called a linklog, a site containing a portfolio of sketches is called a sketchblog or one comprising photos is called a photoblog. Blogs with shorter posts and mixed media types are called tumblelogs. A rare type of blog hosted on the Gopher Protocol is known as a Phlog.[citation needed] By Device Blogs can also be defined by which type of device is used to compose it. This practice of semi-automated blogging with live video together with text was referred to as sousveillance.
